About Barbara Bell

Captain Barbara Bell is a retired U.S. Navy Captain, educator, speaker, and leadership expert. She graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a degree in Systems Engineering, earned her Wings of Gold as a Naval Flight Officer, became the first female instructor at the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, and served in numerous leadership roles throughout her 28-year Navy career. Today, she teaches leadership and ethics at the Naval Academy and is the author of Flight Lessons: Navigating Through Life's Turbulence and Learning to Fly High
